Esteban Vega es un fotógrafo colombiano interesado en documentar la complejidad social y cultural. Su trabajo se caracteriza por un enfoque profundo y humano, buscando contar historias que reflejen la realidad de su país. Tras finalizar sus estudios, Esteban inició su carrera como practicante en un medio de comunicación nacional (Revista Semana), donde pronto se convirtió en uno de los principales fotoperiodistas del equipo.

Su trabajo abarca una amplia variedad de temas, desde conflictos sociales hasta retratos íntimos de comunidades marginadas. Su enfoque se centra en crear narrativas visuales que no solo informen, sino que también generen empatía y reflexión. Ha trabajado en diversas regiones del país documentando las historias de comunidades afectadas por la violencia, el desplazamiento forzado, la migración y problemáticas ambientales.

Sus fotografías han sido publicadas en Revista Semana, otros medios colombianos y, a nivel internacional, en BBC News Mundo, Reuters, AFP, Getty Images, El País de España, WWF (World Wide Fund - Fondo Mundial para la Naturaleza), Frankfurter Allgemeine, Frankfurter Allgemeine Magazin y en el galardonado medio venezolano de periodismo de investigación Armando Info.

Esteban Vega is a Colombian photographer interested in documenting the social and cultural complexity. After completing his studies, Esteban began his career as an assistant at a media outlet (Revista Semana) where he soon became one of the main photojournalists of the team. His work covers a wide range of topics, from social conflicts to intimate portraits of marginalized communities. His focus is on creating visual narratives that not only inform but also generate empathy and reflection. He has worked in various regions of the country, documenting the stories of communities affected by violence, forced displacement, migration, and environmental issues. His photographs have been published in Revista Semana, other Colombian media, and globally in BBC News Mundo, Reuters, AFP, Getty images, El Pais de España, WWF (World Wide Fund), Frankfurter Allgemeine, Frankfurter Allgemeine Magazin and in the awarded Venezuelan investigative journalism media Armando Info.
